Muslim Assistant is Now Muslim App
We renamed Muslim Assistant to Muslim App. The same app, the same team and the same account — with a new name, a new icon and a new address. What changed, what stayed exactly as it was, and what happens to the links you already saved.

Key takeaways
- Muslim Assistant is now Muslim App: the same app, the same team and the same account. The name, the icon and the website address changed; nothing about your account or your data did.
- No re-download and no verification. A normal update from your app store brings the new name and icon, and your settings, saved locations, dhikr records and Quran bookmarks come with it.
- Old muslimassistant.com links still work. They redirect permanently to the same page on muslimapp.com, so bookmarks and links already shared in messages or forums keep resolving.
- "Assistant" had stopped describing the app. Since 2015 it has grown from prayer times and Qibla direction into a daily companion for over 70 million people in 17 languages.
- The new name is the one the community was already using. We made it official rather than invented it.
We renamed our app. If you've been using Muslim Assistant, you're now using Muslim App — same app, same team, and a name that finally reflects the journey we've been on together since 2015.
Why the New Name?
Since 2015, Muslim Assistant has served over 70 million people in 17 languages. What started as a simple tool for prayer times and Qibla direction grew into something much bigger — a full companion for daily ibadah: Quran reading, custom dhikr counters, AI-guided answers to Islamic questions, nearby mosques, a home screen you can personalize with your own themes and photos, lock screen widgets showing the next prayer or a daily ayah, smartwatch support, and much more.
"Assistant" no longer described what Muslim App does. The new name is simpler, more honest, and reflects the breadth of what we offer today. We didn't add the word "app" for lack of creativity — we chose it because it's what our community already called us.
This isn't just a name change. It's a signal that Muslim App is entering a new chapter — one shaped even more closely by your voice.

What Changed
The Name
Muslim Assistant is now Muslim App everywhere: in the App Store, Google Play, and inside the app itself. You'll see "formerly Muslim Assistant" on the splash screen for a while so there's no confusion.
Muslim App is developed by Assistant App Teknoloji A.Ş.
The Website
Our website moved from muslimassistant.com to muslimapp.com. If you have an old link or bookmark saved, it will take you straight to the right page on the new address — you don't need to do anything. Nothing is lost.

The App Icon
We updated the Muslim App icon to align with the latest platform design direction — inspired by the fluid, dimensional aesthetic that modern operating systems are now adopting. The goal was to feel native on your home screen while preserving the familiar shape you've always recognized. The same design sensibility was applied across the app's screens and store visuals to create a more cohesive, polished experience throughout Muslim App.
What Didn't Change
Everything that matters to you stayed the same in Muslim App:
- Your account and login
- Your prayer time settings and calculation method
- Your saved locations and notification preferences
- Your dhikr records and Quran bookmarks
- Your subscription status
No re-download needed. No verification. No data loss. You update Muslim App like any normal update, and the new name and look greet you.
What About My Old Links?
If you bookmarked anything on muslimassistant.com, it still works. The old Muslim Assistant address permanently redirects to muslimapp.com — and it preserves the exact page you were trying to reach. For example, muslimassistant.com/privacy takes you to muslimapp.com/privacy automatically. Old links to Muslim Assistant shared in forums, messages, or emails will continue to work.
We're Still Listening
This rebrand is part of a larger renewal of Muslim App, shaped by your feedback. Muslim App was built around what you asked for, and it will keep evolving the same way. Because you're the ones using it every day, your voice shapes the direction we take. We're on this journey together, and we build Muslim App for you, with you.
Both in the app and on the web, you'll find ways to share what's working and what you'd love to see next. And for a dedicated space to submit feature requests, report issues, or vote on ideas from other users, visit feedback.muslimapp.com. Every suggestion helps us make Muslim App better for the entire Ummah.
The name changed, but our commitment to listening hasn't.
From Muslim Assistant to Muslim App.
