All›Islamic Guide
How the guides are organized
Each topic is a list of steps. Every step has a short title, an explanation, and an image showing the movement. Below the steps you'll also find points to keep in mind for that topic.
Purification
- Wudu — eight steps from intention to washing the feet: intention, hands, mouth, face, arms, head, ears, feet.
- Ghusl — the steps of the full ritual bath.
Prayer guides
The general way of performing prayer comes first, followed by each type of prayer.
| Group | Topics |
|---|---|
| General | How to perform prayer — its order and main parts |
| Five daily prayers | Fajr · Dhuhr · Asr · Maghrib · Isha |
| Weekly and yearly | Friday · Eid · Tarawih |
| Witr and voluntary prayers | Witr · Tahajjud · Duha (mid-morning) · Istikhara · Tasbih prayer · Tahiyyat al-masjid |
| Special cases | Funeral prayer · prostration of recitation |
When a step mentions a dua to recite — Subhanaka or Attahiyyat, for example — you can open the full text from there. Going back returns you to the step you left.
7.2Prayer duas
The duas and glorifications recited in prayer, apart from the surahs.
All›Islamic Guide›Prayer duas
Eight duas, each with its Arabic text, transliteration, meaning, and where it's recited:
| Dua | Where it's recited |
|---|---|
| Subhanaka | At the start of prayer, in the first rakah |
| Attahiyyat | In every sitting |
| Salli | In the final sitting, after Attahiyyat |
| Barik | After Salli |
| Rabbana atina | In the final sitting, after the salawat |
| Rabbanaghfirli | After Rabbana atina |
| Qunut dua 1 | In the third rakah of the Witr prayer |
| Qunut dua 2 | After the first Qunut dua |
The Arabic text and transliteration never change. Only the title, the meaning, and where it's recited are translated.
