11.1Troubleshooting
The most common questions and the steps to try, in order.
Prayer times don't match our mosque's timetable
If the difference is only a few minutes, the cause is usually not the calculation but the precautionary minutes mosques add.
- Check that your city is correct:
Home › city name. - Make sure the calculation is set to automatic; if you picked one yourself, you may have drifted from the calculation accepted in your country.
- If the difference persists, go to
Settings › Adjust adhan time manuallyand add or subtract the difference in minutes for that prayer time. - If only Asr differs, the place to look is your madhab selection.
The adhan or notifications never arrive
- Check that the master switch at the top of your notification settings is on.
- That prayer time's mode may be set to Off — set it to Sound from the prayer time card on the Home screen.
- Check that today is ticked in the day selection for that prayer time.
- Verify in your phone's settings that the app has notification permission.
- Make sure Do Not Disturb or Focus mode is off.
- On Android, battery saver can restrict the app and delay notifications; remove the app from the battery-saving list.
The notification arrives but the adhan doesn't play
- The prayer time's mode may be set to Silent; switch it to Sound.
- The sound selection may be set to Silent — pick an adhan from the sound screen and listen to its preview.
- Check your phone's mute switch and ringer volume.
- If you just changed the sound, closing and reopening the app once helps it take effect faster.
The Qibla compass points the wrong way
- Move your phone through the air in a figure-eight pattern.
- Move away from magnetic cases, wireless charging stands, metal tables, and speakers.
- Grant location permission; without it, the compass is less accurate.
- To double-check, switch to map mode — since the map relies on your location, it gives a reliable comparison.
The translation is stuck in the old language or appears blank
Translation texts are downloaded separately; when you choose a new language, the download may still be in progress.
- Open
Quran › Settings › Translationto see the download status. - If the download was interrupted, check your connection and try again.
- Closing and reopening the app restarts an incomplete download.
The widget isn't updating
- Open the app once.
- Your phone decides how often widgets refresh; a delay of a few minutes is normal.
- If battery saver is on, refreshes happen less often.
- If it persists, remove the widget from your home screen and add it again.
Nearby Mosques won't load
This section needs location permission and an internet connection; selecting a city manually isn't enough.
- Grant location permission and turn on your phone's location service.
- Check your internet connection.
- Indoors, the location signal can be weak; move near a window or step outside.
Ask AI Chat isn't responding
- You may have used up your daily questions; a message on the screen tells you so. Watch a short ad to earn extra credits, or wait until the next day.
- This section requires an internet connection; check yours.
- If your connection drops, the question you typed isn't lost — it's sent once you're back online.
My subscription isn't showing, or I switched devices
- Use the Restore purchases option on the subscription screen.
- Make sure you're signed in with the store account you used for the purchase.
- If ads don't disappear right away, fully close and reopen the app.
Prayer times appear shifted by an hour
This is almost always caused by the clock settings.
- Check that set time automatically is enabled on your phone.
- If you've traveled and previously picked your city yourself, you'll need to select the new city manually.
- If it's right after a daylight saving change, closing and reopening the app once refreshes the times.
What works without internet
Works offline: prayer times, the countdown, notifications, the Qibla compass, the Arabic Quran text, translations and transliterations you've downloaded, dhikr, the tasbih counter, prayer duas, the Islamic Guide, and anything you've saved.
Needs internet: Ask AI Chat, verse reflections, Nearby Mosques, the first delivery of the daily dua and hadith, translation downloads, and listening to recitations.
When the connection drops, the app notices and lets you know; once it's back, pending tasks resume on their own.
11.2Feedback and support
Ways to report a problem or share your thoughts.
Feedback form
Profile›Send feedback
The form has three parts:
- Rating. Your overall satisfaction, on a slider.
- Topic. What your feedback is about.
- Comment. The details, in your own words.
Your app version is included when you submit, which helps us track down the issue faster.
Reporting an answer
If an answer in Ask AI Chat is incorrect, use the report button beneath it.
Store review
Profile › Rate us opens the store review dialog. The app may occasionally ask for a review on its own; you can dismiss it.
Staying up to date
The app lets you know when a new version is available. When you run into a problem, check first whether you're on the latest version.
